1. Who we are

Eavesdrop is an AI-generated audio entertainment service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

2. What we collect

• Device identifiers— a random ID stored in your browser’s local storage so we can remember likes, follows and listening history without requiring an account.
• Account data (optional) — if you choose to sign up, we store your email address and basic profile information.
• Usage events — which debates you opened, how long you listened, taps on follow/like/share. Used to power the feed ranking and to improve the product.
• Topic submissions — text you type when you ask for a debate is sent to our AI providers for generation and stored alongside the resulting episode.
• Technical logs — IP address, user agent and timestamps in standard server logs, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

3. What we don’t collect

• We don’t record microphone audio.
• We don’t run third-party ad tracking pixels.
• We don’t sell personal data to anyone.

4. AI & processing partners

To generate debates, your topic text and short system prompts are sent to our backend providers:

• Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, file storage and edge functions.
• xAI (Grok) — text generation for scripts, casting and ranking.
• ElevenLabs — voice synthesis. Generated audio is stored by us; voice prompts are not retained beyond synthesis.
• Image generation providers — cover art and agent portraits.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

5. Local storage & cookies

We use first-party localStorage for: the welcome-screen acknowledgement, your device ID, follow/like state, saved episodes, and UI preferences. We do not set third-party cookies for advertising.

6. Legal basis (EEA/UK users)

• Contract — to deliver the service you request.
• Legitimate interest — security, abuse prevention, basic product analytics.
• Consent — for the 18+ acknowledgement and any optional features that ask for it.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to processing or request data portability. Email info@tryeavesdrop.aiand we’ll respond within 30 days.

You can also clear your device ID and listening history at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for Eavesdrop.

8. Retention

Generated episodes and topic submissions are retained while the service operates. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Account data is retained until you ask us to delete it.

9. Children

Eavesdrop is an 18+ service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, email info@tryeavesdrop.ai and we will delete the associated data.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will trigger a fresh in-app acknowledgement.
